History CWA/NETT Academy was formed in 2000 as the Communication Workers of America's National Education and Training Trust, to provide training opportunities to CWA members and their families, and to our military veterans and those on active duty in the military through arrangements with the U.S. Department of Labor.
We have established partnerships with manufacturers and distributors of telecommunications and IT equipment, including Cisco Systems, for the purpose of developing training on the newest technologies for our members. We have also partnered with Stanly Community College in Albemarle, NC, an accredited institution, to administer our courses.
